Bradley describes a monster to Carla in the book 'There is a boy in the girl's bathroom by Loius Sachar. "Green skin, one eye in the middle of his face, 3 arms, 2 hands on each arm and 8 fingers on each hand. " This monster is how Bradley thinks people see him and how he sees himself. Its is his fears and emotions made into an image. We have used Google Drawing to recreate his monster. Here is Jo's example.
Carla is helping Bradley to see that all 'monsters' have good in them, lots of it in fact. It all depends on how closely you look at them. So Bradley added a red heart to show the good in his monster. It is hard to not to give up when other people see you in a certain way. What advice would you give to Bradley when everyone only sees him as a bad monster?
Kia ora Room 8. I would tell Bradley to stay focused on being the best he can be. People will start to notice a change when you consistently show kindness through your words and actions.
ReplyDeleteHey Rm 8, Bitner here from Rm 6. The advice that I would give him is to try and do things that he would never do, like homework and be more nicer to others and himself.
