Al Brown visits for Garden to Table!

Today we were very lucky today because we had a visit from Al Brown. He was very interested in our school and our Garden to Table program. He showed some students how to peel broccoli stalks to make them tasty.

We made sushi with vegetables from our garden and omelet made from eggs that our chickens laid.  Here are some photos:

How amazing that Al Brown visited your class! I didn't know that Al Brown liked to visit schools! I want to know how you even got talking about peeling broccoli?! Does it taste like the head of the broccoli?
It seemed like you had an awesome time!

  13. Hi Room 17,
It is really cool that you have chickens at your school. Who looks after your chickens? We don't have any chickens at our school, but we do have a cat named Dusky.
We really liked reading about your garden to table program.
