Green Week - Learn, Think, Take Action!

For Green Week we have been thinking about ways we can help our native birds. Ms Best talked to us about the introduced pests (possums, rats, weasels and stoats) that eat trees, plants, baby birds and eggs. This means we don't have enough adult native birds flying around our forests and gardens. She also shared some ways we can help to get rid of the pests. This includes picking up all rubbish we see, including food scraps, and setting pest traps around our school or home gardens (with an adult's help). We made information posters sharing our learning.
