Today an exciting thing happen on our school field. The police helicopter, nicknamed Eagle landed. It is one of three Bell 429 helicopters that police our airways.
Were all very excited when some local heroes climbed out - 4 police officers. We heard many fascinating facts about the police helicopter and what an exciting job flying on it is.
Did you know that the camera on the front is worth 1.5 million dollars? It also has gyro stabilised binoculars, night vision equipment, and a night sun spotlight.
Room 8 would like to give a big shout out to the NZ police force for the amazing job they do. You all are Superheroes in our eyes!

Kia ora Room 8, it was super exciting to have the helicopter land on our school field! I was surprised by how loud it was. I haven't been in a helicopter before but would be keen to go for a ride. Has anyone in Room 8 been in a helicopter?
