Kapow, bam, boom! Week 1 of 2022 is done and dusted!

It has been a very hot and busy first week in Room 8. We have been thinking about what our whole school theme of SUPERHEROES means, especially our Term 1 focus that not all superheroes wear capes. 

We have been discussing our first PB4L focus of Manaakitanga and what they would look like. We have also spent a lot of time outside playing cooperation games.

A big focus this week has been looking closely at the Kawa of Care and talking about how to look after our Chromebooks so we are ready to use them for learning, both at school and at home. Here is Jeremy showing the class how to carry a Chromebook correctly. 2 hands, lid closed and no headphones plugged in! 

Finally, a big shout-out to Yasmin, who got a Class Merit Award last year but unfortunately wasn't able to attend our prize giving. Congratulations!
