Quality Blog Comments

Kia Orana bloggers,

Room 23 students have been learning about what makes a quality blog comment.  We have been looking closely at blog comments from other students in our school to see if they have all the ingredients of a quality comment. They need to be positive, thoughtful and helpful.

Here is a poster we use in our school to help remind us when we are commenting. Maybe you should use it when you write your next comment.

We decided that all blog comments should include a question so that you can start a conversation with the blogger. What is your top tip for writing a quality blog comment?

  1. Kia orana Owairaka learners! My top two tips are: 1. Keep it kind. 2. If you're not sure, ask someone to read it BEFORE you publish it.

  2. Kia ora! I feel under pressure writing a blog comment about quality blog comments! I think the poster you've shared is a really useful scaffold if you're stuck for ideas. I've used it many times in lessons this term. What do you think you should do if you gets comments on your blog that are not quality comments?
