Dear Carla,
I would like to apologise for not coming to see you on Friday and Saturday. I was so sad and angry that you are leaving our school that I decided not to help you move. I am sorry now that I didn’t get to see you for the last time.
Thank you for giving my book report to Mrs Ebbel. You will never believe what happened! She gave me a gold star and said it was excellent. I would like to thank you for giving me the book too. It's the best book I have ever read.
I did go to Colleen's birthday party and I had the best time ever! There was yummy food and loads lollies but best of all we had a chocolate birthday cake. And I didn't sit on it this time! I did eat far too much and went home with a tummy ache. Jeff and I joined in all the party games but Melinda won all of them. You were right again. You don't have to bring your own chair to play musical chairs!
Thank you for helping me understand that I can be a good person and that I am a good friend. You showed me that I can control how I behave and that my work is worth sharing and not ripping up. You will always be special to me too.
I will miss you,
Bradley.
Carla left Bradley a lovely letter to help him to be ok with her leaving Red Hill School. We imagined being Bradley and what he would write back to her. Here is our shared writing example. Check out our individual blogs to more Bradley letters.
