Kia Orana - Cook Island Language Week

Meitaki to Ryleigh's family and our other special visitor who popped into Room 8 to help us celebrate Cook Island Language Week. We learnt that a traditional Cook Island quilt is called a tivaevae and that the Cook Island flag has 15 stars on it. One for each of the Islands that make up the Cook Island Nation.

A big thank you to Ryleigh and Marley for showing us how to wear different parts of the traditional costume.
