Arataki Trip

We had a fantastic day at Arataki Regional Park walking amongst spectacular native forest. We were learning about how invertebrates help nature to recycle.

The start of the Loop Track. We had to wash our shoes to help protect the beautiful Kauri Trees.

Natalie, Alodia and Licha searching for invertebrates amongst the shrubs.

What a view!
Photosynthesis - C02 and 02 in!

Photosynthesis - oxygen and sugar out!

We used mirrors to look up at the canopy without falling over when walking down hill.

We used our hands and pooters to suck up the invertebrates to have a closer look at them.
