Surf Safety - Class trip to Mairangi Bay.

We went to Mairangi Bay with Room 25 to learn all about how to stay safe when swimming at a surf beach. We were also reminded about how to be sun smart. Check out our personal blogs to see the slide presentations we made to share our learning with younger children.

We learnt many important facts about how to stay safe at the beach. This included how to recognise a rip, calm spot where there are no waves, and that we must swim between the flags.

Francesca from Room 25 got to dress up as a lifeguard.

Jethro volunteered to take part in a pretend rescue.
