Too much Salt!

We learnt a lot in the kitchen today. You need to read the recipe carefully. We got a bit mixed up between 1/2 a teaspoon and 1/2 a cup. Whoops, our roti tasted like play dough!

Laura, our Garden teacher brought in some dried bean pods for us to see. We shelled them and took out the bean seeds from inside. They will be ready for planting next spring.

We used a microscope to look closely at the bean seeds. Here you can see the bean seed coat splitting off.

Lucy and Alla making muffins.

Fiona, Charlotte and Phoenix making roti. They were perfect, apart from the salt.

Our harvest from the garden today. Potatoes for the curry and tomatoes and cucumbers for the salad.

We worked hard to get a new garden ready for planting.

All the students above earnt their knife licenses today. We can all use knives in the kitchen safely. Well done!
