Our first Garden to Table session - Beans, beans, beans.

Laura, our new garden teacher brought fresh green beans for us to try today. They were delicious. We also had a close look at bean pods and seeds. 




Some of us went into the garden to harvest  vegetables for the kitchen. It was a long list.




We had a quick visit with the school chickens and brought them some yummy silverbeet for a treat.  

Meanwhile in the kitchen, we were making pakoras with a raita dipping sauce and honey cakes for dessert. Yum!

    Hi room 21 In the kitchen my group was making dessert, those delicious HONEY CAKES. They were delicious! You did great dip as well.

    Hi Room 21. The beans look big and juicy. We picked all of the big ones to use in the kitchen. Do you have green beans at home? From Ossian.
